Ach, sehr gut, the kind of art I like most: macabre art (or something similar, I suppose). Anyway, it's a very picturesque and surreal, I could say... Yes, without a doubt the picture makes think about death, darkness and mystery, if we oserve the cracked gravestone and the two skeletal hands that open a mysterious blue phial from which a strange smoke comes out, howere it has a particular charm, in my opinion. It has been realized with an excellent technique, and in the end you can see it so perfectly that it looks like a photograph. Moreover I find it really original, since I never seen images like this one until now. Nevertheless, I gave only 4 and a half stars because I know that not many people like seeing this kind of pictures, so it would hit some people's sensitivity. Apart from this, I think it's really an awesome illustration. Ich gratuliere, Kerl!
Well, to start on the right foot, the combination of the strange grave stone and the lantern was an ingenious idea, albeit frequently used. The lighting behind them and the barren setting added to the effect chillingly. It could be used as a background for a ghost/horror film one day. I suggest that because blue light often gives an eerie sensation and the grave is blue. I used to, and lately I still do, use bright light to illuminate lanterns.Oldie but goodie. You leave us wondering whose grave is it, or perhaps we should not know, right? Very spooky effects generally. Brrrrrrrr!
